Is your student re-enrolling for 2023?
Latest in LOTE
Term 4 is always a busy term with lots happening in all sectors of the school. Senior exams are currently underway and I wish our students all the best for these final exams. Be confident and use all of the skills, knowledge and strategies that you have learnt over the last 13 years of schooling. We look forward to celebrating with the Year 12 graduates in Week 7.
I am also looking forward to seeing our Primary students during Week 7 Mini-school and then in Emerald in Week 9 for the Primary swimming carnival and awards ceremony. It is always a fun time.
Planning is well underway for the 2023 school year with regards to the calendar, timetable and staffing.
I hope you all have an enjoyable and productive term. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if I can help in anyway.
Kind regards
Georgina Harch

Anxiety – how can you help as a parent?
Does your child suffer from excessive worry or anxiety? Why not try some of the Brainstem activities listed below. The best way to use these activities is to weave them into the child's daily routine so that they have them little and often, every day.
Brainstem calming activities need to be:
Relational (offered by a safe adult)
Relevant (developmentally-matched to the child rather than matched to their
actual age)
Repetitive (patterned)
Rewarding (pleasurable)
Rhythmic (resonant with neural patterns)
Respectful (of the child and family)

Year 9 Visual Art - Jeepers Creepers
Year 9 – visual Art – Jeepers Creepers.
The year 9s have been going bug crazy in visual art this semester.
Saving our endangered animals. All funds go to World Wildlife Fund (Australia)
We are a group of Year 12 students who are concerned about our beautiful creatures in Australia. In class, we talked about how it can be possible to help out our troubled species.
Let us tell you what we came up with. Koalas, echidnas, the platypus and turtles are all in trouble at the moment. If we don’t do something to save these guys soon, a major thing could happen to the environment.
They are all here for a reason, like we are.

Please, help us save these beautiful creatures. We’ve put a lot of work as a class to get all these things together.
We are planning to run a cake store to raise money for these creatures at our upcoming mini school on Monday, beginning at 8am. Our stall will be near the sign in desk. We are known, as the Endangered Defenders. Please help us.
