Mini-school - 'what, how, where and when?'
Capricornia School of Distance Education values face-to-face experiences. There are many reasons why families and students choose distance education but here at CSDE we aim to ensure that your child receives the same opportunities as any other student in a mainstream school. Mini-school is one of the ways we can offer your child face-to-face experience incorporating, learning and socialisation.
Throughout the year, CSDE aims to provide opportunities for students to socialise and work with their peers, play sport, compete in swimming and athletics carnivals, experience in-class activities in a school environment and facilitate Professional Development opportunities for Home Tutors.
CSDE believes that your child will flourish, as families, staff, and the school community work together to support each other, learning and education.
We look forward to seeing you this Mini-school.
Welcome to Mini-school!
RSVP 's are due by Wednesday 1st March.
Permission forms are due by Friday 3rd March

School Photos
School Photos will be held during Term One Mini-school. This year there will be no envelopes, as students have been emailed an access code link to be able to order their photos online. These emails went to students EQ emails on Monday 27th Feb. Please check thier spam folder if you were unable to locate these emails. Contact the school if required.
CSDE will also be issuing all Secondary Students in Year 7 - 12 with a student card from their 2023 school photo. The first card is supplied and paid for by the school. All replacement cards will be at the expense of the family.
Sibling photos will be on offer at Rockhampton Campus from 7:30am on Monday 13th March to allow families time for this to occur before having to take their secondary students to Conference on North. Any students with senior exams on photo day - please do not stress! Secondary photos will be taken after the conclusion of the Essential English exam that day.
Please contact Anita Grice if you require a sibling photo Access Key. There will also be access keys available on campus on photo day for sibling photos.
CSDE is also very excited to be able to offer Year Level group photos this year! These photos are compiled virtually from all the students in that year level that had their photo taken. This is a new option for our families and we are very excited to be able to offer you the latest technology in creating digital memories.
Students wearing their brightest and best CSDE uniforms in Emerald will have their photos taken on Tuesday.
