To be eligible for your student to enrol at Capricornia School of Distance Education, families must ensure that they provide a Home Tutor.
A Home Tutor is a responsible adult (over the age of 18) who is with the student at all times between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm Monday to Friday and contactable by the school within those times.
The role of the Home Tutor is to actively support and supervise the student, ensuring class attendance and work returns and making sure that the student has all the necessary resources and learning materials required to complete their lessons. The Home Tutor communicates with the school and promptly notifies of any absences or issues that may affect learning. They are to actively ensure the safety and wellbeing of the student at all times.
CapSDE requires that each student has access to a laptop/desktop to log into their lessons each day. An iPad is not a suitable device. Does each of your student/s have access to a computer/laptop, headset and reliable internet?
Please note that if you don't have a suitable device for your student/s you may be eligible to participate in our Laptop Hire Scheme. This can be discussed at your enrolment interview.
